database - What is the best way to make an auto increment ID's with large data? -

i want know best way or approach implement auto increment id big amount of info in database.

my table contains @ to the lowest degree hundreds of thousands of info tagged unique id's.

i'm thinking of alphanumeric id's contains prefix @ origin followed integer. considering number of characters should made not sure if cater info populate more.

ex of id i'm thinking ia00001 incremented 1 ia00002 , on.

is ok?

i need suggestions please.
