i looking solution standard concept. in social communities, there way user alerted if responds posted. however, not seeing way accomplish in sharepoint 2013 community site. need assistance. there way accomplish this?

you can alert on item if changes. there no oob way alert on response item.

you can set alerts on list new items not specific items (other changes item).
